Privacy policy
Short version: browsing this site stores nothing about you. The only personal data we hold is what you type into a form.
What we collect
- Newsletter — the email address you submit, and optionally the market you asked to follow.
- Contact form — your name, email address, an optional company or mandi name, and your message.
- Server logs — our host records standard request metadata such as IP address, user agent and requested path for operational and abuse-prevention purposes.
What we do not collect
- No advertising or analytics trackers.
- No cookies are set by this site. Nothing is stored in your browser.
- No account is required and none is created.
- No personal data is required to use the API.
Why we hold it
Email addresses are held for the single purpose of sending the daily rate email you asked for. Contact messages are held so we can reply and, where you have reported a rate error, so we can trace the correction. We do not sell, rent or share this data with third parties for marketing.
Where it is stored
Form submissions are stored in a Cloudflare D1 database. The site and API run on Cloudflare Workers. Cloudflare acts as our infrastructure provider and processes request data on our behalf under its own terms.
How long we keep it
Newsletter addresses are kept until you unsubscribe. Contact messages are kept for up to 24 months, then deleted. Server logs are retained according to our host’s standard retention period.
Your choices
- Every newsletter email carries an unsubscribe link that takes effect immediately.
- To see what we hold about you, or to have it deleted, email rates@eggrate.in from the address in question. We action deletion requests within 30 days.
- You can use every rate page and the entire API without submitting any personal data at all.
Children
This is a commodity price site with no content directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, the date at the top of this page changes with it. Substantive changes affecting subscribers will be announced in the daily email.
