1. What this site is

EggRate India republishes the daily wholesale egg rate declared by the National Egg Coordination Committee (NECC) for markets across India, together with historical series and a public JSON API. It is an information service. It is not a trading venue, a broker, or a settlement price source.

2. Accuracy and no warranty

Rates are collected and republished in good faith. They may contain transcription errors, may lag the official declaration, and may be carried forward from a previous day when a market has not declared. Where a rate is carried forward, the page shows the date the price actually came from.

The data is provided as is, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. Verify with your mandi, your supplier or NECC before relying on any figure for a transaction.

3. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, EggRate India and its operators accept no liability for any loss or damage, direct or indirect, arising from use of this site or its API, including trading losses, lost profits, or decisions made on the basis of a published rate.

4. Acceptable use of the API

• Read endpoints are free and require no key. Please honour the cache headers we send.
• Do not attempt to circumvent rate limits, scrape at a rate that degrades service for others, or present the data in a way that implies official NECC endorsement.
• Do not use the write endpoints (/subscribe, /contact) for unsolicited messaging, or attempt to access /admin endpoints without authorisation.
• Access may be restricted without notice if usage threatens the availability of the service.

5. Attribution and redistribution

The underlying rates are declared publicly by NECC and are not our property. Our compilation, presentation and API are ours. You may use and redistribute the data, including commercially. A link back is appreciated but not required. Do not claim the API itself as your own product.

6. Content on this site

The written explanations, page copy, design and code are the property of the site operators. You may quote short extracts with attribution. Wholesale copying of the site is not permitted.

7. Availability and changes

The service is provided on a best-effort basis with no uptime guarantee. Endpoints, response shapes and page structures may change. Breaking API changes will be introduced under a new version prefix rather than altering /api/v1 in place, wherever practical.

8. Personal data

If you subscribe to the daily email or send a message through the contact form, we store what you submit in order to reply or send the email. See the privacy policy for detail, including how to have it removed.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of India.
